April 24 – This week’s features….

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Mabuhay to all of you, dear readers!

If last week was “wedding dress week”, this week, the wedding stationery and England’s most romantic castle take the center stage.  Applause! Applause! Applause!

The wedding stationery plays a very important role in the wedding.  Not only does it provide necessary information to the guests, it also gives them an idea of what your wedding would be like.  Unlike all the fireworks, balloons, filet mignon, champagne, etc., the wedding stationery is also the perfect item to keep as a remembrance of the most beautiful day of your life. It lasts a whole lot longer than the fruit cake at the top tier, and you can share it with your posterity, long after the scratches on the DVD of your wedding video have done their work.

Of course, if all the stress brought about by wedding planning is taking its toll on you, you will need to get away and relax to keep your sanity.  One way to relax would be to go out, see places, and be amused. But before we get to that, let’s check out…

In addition to our Planning Tools, we’ve got a new article, especially since a guest’s first glance into your wedding would be through your Wedding Invitations.

The wedding stationery introduces your guests to your wedding and how the event is expected to be. Upon receiving the invitation, guests would get an idea if your wedding is going to have a casual beach setting, a formal traditional motif, a romantic garden theme, or whatever your theme and style of wedding will be. Since the Wedding Invitations article has mentioned about doing your own invitations or getting DIY invitation kits to partly do it yourself, and partly have it already made by experts,  the What’s Smart blog shows you a tutorial on how you can make your own invitations, with the help of some templates you can download from this site.

How very wedding-y this week is! From wedding shows to bridal fashions, the features are truly inspiring for every bride-to-be.

Wedding events seem to be everywhere this weekend.  While New Jersey’s Long Beach Island is having the Wedding Road Show 2010, Maine is having the MidCoast Wedding Expo, Michigan has The Bridal Experience,  California’s Woodland Hills has their bridal show, and Ohio has the Dayton Marriott Bridal Expo, this week,  Mareeyah’s Blogs also has exciting ideas to share with you. It seems to be a bridal fashion week, as articles about and pictures of wedding dresses, in various kinds, fill the latest posts on this site.

Many brides have probably been imagining themselves in The Wedding Dress of their dreams long before they even get engaged. Even young girls just can’t help it, especially when their Barbie dolls are modeling lovely gowns of satin and laces right in front of them. Now that you’re engaged, it’s time to get serious thinking about the dress you’re gonna wear on your big day.

Probably one of the most exciting part of the wedding preparation is the hunt for the “perfect” wedding dress! It is possibly the number one thing that makes the bride feels absolutely beautiful on her wedding day. READ MORE…

Also, what’s new is a new column! Check out after “…and fun?” and you will see “BFF of the week.” Though it commonly stands for “best friends forever”, here in Mareeyah’s Blogs, it has a different meaning and that is “Budget Friendly Finds.”  Every week, it will feature a number of wedding-related items which are sold at super inexpensive prices by various vendors online and offline.  If you are a bride on a budget, you will simply want to make BFF your new bff.

Let’s admit it. Even in these times when we say that times are hard and the economy is not so good, one can still pull off a beautiful wedding, even on a budget. Not all wedding gowns cost thousands of dollars. Not all weddings have to cost a fortune. In fact, if you are a really good bargain hunter, you can find a lot of inexpensive items that can help you save a lot. Here are this week’s budget-friendly finds, or BFFs, online:

Off Shoulder White Detach Train Wedding Dress

Size 10, Price: US$99, Shipping US$25, from US

Ivory Silk Halter Wedding Gown

Price US$99, Free Shipping, from US

Wedding Gown from Mon Cheri

Size 8, Price US$99.95, Shipping US$19.95, from US

Of course, since these are on eBay, offers good while stocks last. So if you’ve spent about six months looking for your dream wedding dress (which looks like the off shoulder gown on the first picture) that fits your $500 budget, you don’t have to think for another six months whether you should consider that dress on eBay or not.

Lastly, here are some inspiring words from Lao Tzu:

“To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage.”

May you have a happy week, full of love, both outgoing and incoming.
