To celebrate the 170th birthday of Relief Society organization, the world’s largest women’s group, our local organization will be holding a small informal activity tomorrow night.
And I have been tasked to prepare the virtual sharing station for Homemaking.
What is a virtual sharing station or how does it look like?
Well, a few weeks ago, I was directed to a collection of photos of virtual sharing stations that the BYU website has collected. Here are a few I’ve found….

Thanks, BYU! Now I know more or less what to do, although I can’t help but think that it’s almost like setting up my market stall, except that I’m making it educational, not commercial. Maybe, I can start from that.
The next thing to do was to make a research of what I can feature about Homemaking. If you think about it, the scope is soooo vast! The internet, for instance, is just oozing with gazillion of ideas to share!
I’m dividing my stall station into four parts: Cooking, Sewing, Home Beautification and Cleaning & Organizing… and I have already prepared labels for each! Here’s a sneak preview of one of them:
Pinterest has been extremely helpful, so far! If you’re following me on Pinterest, you’d see some of my boards there with tons of pins relating to this topic! Isn’t this project exciting?!

Some of you might remember a patchwork skirt I’ve made ages ago. It was made of fabric scraps from my sister’s dresses. I proudly wore that skirt because I was perfectly sure it was one of a kind and because I must have designed and made it quite well that my friends even thought I bought it off rack from some department store or fashion boutique.
This morning, while Facebooking on my phone, I saw someone announcing an ongoing giveaway from Evie Green Pixie. I have never heard of her before, so I hopped over to her FB page, Etsy and Madeit stores to see her works. Here are some of the pretty ones I like:

Aren’t they all so pretty? She’s so talented and hardworking!
Yes, I can just imagine how time-consuming it is to make all these skirts, yet she’s selling tons of them on her online stores.
Recently, because she just had 1500+ likes on Facebook, she’s celebrating it with a giveaway and on offer is a skirt like those above, custom made on your size, plus probably you can request a few details of your choice for your skirt if you win.
All you’ve got to do is like her FB page and leave a comment on that giveaway picture. Isn’t that so easy? I already left a comment and now, crossing my fingers, hoping to win. Find her at her Facebook page now. Good luck!!!

Recently, I’ve been thinking it would be cool to get a new pair of drop-dead gorgeous pair of shoes. Not just the usual sensible, plain design, but something that would make a statement. So, off I went window-shopping online… and dreamed (for those shoes with ridiculous prices)… and saw some amazing, if not, amusing ones.

Palomino, by Zu

Scarlett, by Zu… but the height would probably kill me.

Protea, by Zu. Even if you wear plain black, this pair will grab everyone’s attention.

Coppola, by Zu. Only the blind will ignore this.

Samurai, by Zu. I’d wear this if I’ll go to the Hi-5 auditions.

Suffix, by Wittner. Hollywood meets the deserts of Africa, I imagine.
